Depart Shimla early and drive along the Sutlej River, climbing through Karcham and into the Baspa Valley. The road narrows and the air cools as you arrive in Sangla by late afternoon. Check in and enjoy your first high-valley sunset.

After breakfast, drive to Chitkul — the last inhabited village on the old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk the village paths, visit the Mathi temple, and take in the Baspa River panorama before returning to Sangla for the evening.

Morning visit to the centuries-old Kamru Fort, perched above Sangla with panoramic valley views. Spend the afternoon walking through apple and apricot orchards, meeting local growers, and tasting fresh Kinnauri produce.

Drive down-valley to Rakchham and Batseri, two of Kinnaur's most photogenic villages. Explore traditional wood-carved homes, visit the ancient temple complex, and enjoy a riverside picnic before returning to Sangla.

Enjoy a final breakfast at altitude before the scenic descent. Stop at the Karcham Wangtoo dam viewpoint for one last Kinnaur panorama before continuing toward Shimla.
